Introduction-Jayla Haer

Hi! My name is Jayla. I’ve included some information below for you to learn all about me!

I grew up in Squamish, BC, for my whole life and moved to Victoria in September 2024 when I started by first year at UVic! I am now going into my third year studying psychology. When I’m not busy studying, i love to be outdoors and at the beach. Some of my other hobbies include, hiking, baking, camping, shopping, tanning, travelling and having a fun night out with friends!

A fun fact about me is that once I graduate I plan on back backing across Europe and Asia with my best friend! I also plan on doing an exchange year in Australia for my final year. I look forward to exploring other parts of the world and make many new memories.

Once I finish travelling, I plan on going into either Clinical Psych or Forensics. I am spending this summer also working with a PHD student on some research, so by the time I graduate I will have my name written on a published psych research journal which is really cool!

I am excited for this course, and I look forward to getting to know everyone!!
